I started out years ago performing almost entirely cover songs. Gradually, I began to integrate a few original songs into an evening's performance and eventually got to the point where I was performing exclusively original songs and that was all that was expected of me.
And it was good.
It still is good.
I did not set out to create, "replacement" versions of any of these songs. I still love the original versions. I just wanted to get people listening to some of them again, possibly in a new way. Maybe after hearing my versions, some people will want to go back and listen to the original versions again. That would please me. I think these songs should last forever. And it doesn't matter who sings them. It's the song, not the singer.

John’s long awaited and
eagerly anticipated acoustic live CD is finally here! This is John M music
in it’s purest form. Just vocals and guitar and all recorded live. Included
are solo versions of some old favorites, like, “My Mother In Me,” and “In
Jesus’ Name.” There are also previously unreleased songs, such as, “We
Can Make It”, “Forever” and “Music Rowbots" and of course, some new tunes,
including, “Some Hearts” and “Heart Doctor.” The CD also contains some
“ENHANCED” features, which you can access by placing the CD into a computer’s
CD-ROM drive. These features include direct links to the John M website,
a photo gallery, 2 additional MP3 songs, song lyrics and more.
